Yes, Mark, it is, however, some of the things you've mentioned are a bit hit-and-miss for many travellers. Calling on an Avatar has been reported often and people have had success (I haven't tried it). There's no guarantee that you're actually drawing in that particular energy and not just creating a thought-form or meeting an imposter but, generally, projectors report having a fairly good sense of what they've attracted.

I have met up with friends but even that is complicated. Often you don't both recall everything that happened but snippets. Generally, I've remembered projecting with the intention but not the actual meeting and then the person says I visited. Sometimes I've recalled bits but as if it were a dream or they've recalled it as a dream. Sometimes I just know I visited and they subsequently announce that I'd popped around. Once a friend on another site called for me in a lucid dream and he was told by "higher beings" that I could only come briefly. We hadn't met in person and he was able to give some relevant information about me. Nothing too amazing though. I've also seen people I know who look like the lights are on but nobody's home. Once, I terrified someone without meaning to. If she remembered it, she didn't say anything.

You can go to actual locations like pyramids. You may need to ask for help. Lots of people have done it. Whether they're the actual locations or dream facsimiles is open to contention.
