OK so what you are telling me is that The stronger the emotion the stronger the thoughtS effect.
The stronger the emotion, the stronger the broadcast.

You gave me a long answer but I'm talking about when you specificly look the person in the eye(4 1)
There are two factors I can think of. The more calm (internal stillness) and present you can be the less you will give away. Being detached helps in the same way as stillness but to a lesser degree. Emotion has a significant effect as it also shows in a purely physical way (visual, smell and possibly sound). Stillness in this context mostly means no emotion or mind chatter. Part of the effect is that stillness shows little (nothing to pick up on). The contribution of being present is more subtle. When being present, you are only responding to the current situation so that's all you can give away. If like most people you are remembering the past or anticipating the future you can also send them. Secondarily, acting in the NOW happens only after they make a move. Where as mind chatter or emotion can start at any time giving them more time to read and react.

Mediation can help with both these. For stillness you need to get beyond stationary meditation. Either moving meditation or learning to not 'exit' mediation when getting up are required.

A whole different way is to develop your lucid dreaming skills so you can become lucid while awake. Then let the lucid watcher do the thinking, not the awake participant. This indirection hides your intention. It also is taxing on the mind leaving it less opportunity to give additional information away.

adn when your sitting in a big hall with many other students/movie ect.
Sitting in a hall basically means that you are not facing anyone else. This is a far easier situation. In addition to the above; physical stillness, energy shielding, and transparency techniques will help.

NOTE for the advanced practitioners: all the above can be defeated by shifting your awareness to assemble the world of intent (Toltec technique) which will show you intent (not your actual thoughts). I do not know a counter for this.
