Seems like a healing entity. How you represent this experience to yourself is largely dependent on the imagery and symbolism inherent to you, also to your expectations.
You said this entity felt "noble" - so you represented it to yourself as a nobleman - knights were never commoners, they were always nobles. This perception of "being noble" was your perception of the essence of this entity, a symbolic representation of its level of evolution and the core of its being.
A lot of what we perceive with non-physical senses has passed through a lot of interpretation and is a representation of what actually was perceived.
