Hi everyone
Hi soul1. First off the bat I'm going to say that it sounds like you're doing well and are on the right track.
I'm a bit confused and don't know where I'm at and how to continue.
Started working about 6 months ago developing the skills needed to OBE. After 3 (hard) month no results at all.Struggling to keep motivated i continued and it paid. Suddenly and without warning there was strong Heart Center activity. It hammered like crazy and while being quite uncomfortable was thrilled to finally see progress. In the following days the pounding slowly increased and spread, then the navel center joined the show.To keep it short a today's practice session goes like this.
I spend 20-30 minutes raising energy and stimulating the chakras. They respond very quickly lately, after a few stirring actions each chakra starts pulsing slightly except for brow and crown (by stimulating the brow i get some funny colors in minds eye, the crown just gives a tingle). After a short brake i settle in a reclined hard-backed chair and spend about 10-15 mins relaxing and bouncing energy continued with a few minutes clearing the mind (had a lot of trouble with it in the beginning but finally got it).By now I'm already in a slight trance (most of the time) and continue to deepen with varius down-motions.after spending 5-10 minutes loosening (i like the spin most) and rechecking relaxation and mind-clearness I start ROPE. Almost immediately i get strong HC activity (if it hasn't started already while loosening)quickly followed by the NC and rest. After about 5 mins climbing, my whole Body from throat to feet and toes is pounding and pulsating wildly (VERY intense) together with chakras. my Head isn't pounding but every now and then my face gets hot and i feel an inside pressure around forehead (brow?).Well here I'm stuck, while the above sensations increase daily [hope i don't overdo it, today it went on for about 40 mins straight without interruption (weakens a bit when i lose focus increases when i refocus on climbing) and even after the session it continues slightly in the background, it's now 4 hours ago and i can still feel the remains] there is no separation and exit.
First i thought my mind wasn't clear enough so i worked on that (it's now silent most of the time with some occasional thought pressure every 5 - 10 mins),then i realized I'm tensing a bit when the above sensations get wild so relaxed more but still no exit. The trance level is difficult to measure but it seems light/medium. the warmness and slight heaviness come easily and i continue quite a bit deeper (while I'm not paralyzed [do you have to be paralyzed to project?] it becomes increasingly uncomfortable to move. when i brake trance i spend 2-3 mins reversing by up-motions before i open eyes and get up. once i had to jerk up in direct from trance, managed it(not paralyzed) but felt like drunk tumbled to the door and was dizzy whole afternoon). Now my big question what can i do
It's so frustrating being stuck when the exit seems so close.
If anyone experienced the same and found a way out please reply. every comment greatly appreciated.
It definitely sounds like you're doing everything right, but may not be in deep enough trance for exit.
What I would do would be to make the trance portion of your practice a little bit longer, and after the energy body loosening work settle into 'noticing'. Do this until you feel like you're in the verge of passing out or start to have some sort of symptom you're not used to, and then start tugging on that rope. The difference may be a few minutes only, but try to adopt the observational attitude for a little while before trying exit techniques. The heart center activity is a good sign- shows there is some awareness shift going on- but you may be too 'awake' (I don't mean aware, but bodily-involved still) to separate without your body 'going along with it.'
As to if you have to be paralyzed, I'd say you should when you start. After you've had a few successful separations then it's easier to project without paralysis (although never easy) because you learn how it feels to be in trance. But I recommend you get about as close to asleep as you can (as in completely paralyzed) the first few times. You will find all this changes as you do, so none of this is written in stone.
