Robert Bruce isn't the only one who believes that, Edgar Cayce wrote articles about it and near-death.com has some of his articles, in addition Sylvia Browne and John Edward also say it in their books.

You asked if it's true, well, only the dead know that. I myself have experienced astral projections, exactly as Robert Bruce describes in his book. I've done it by accident repeatedly before I even knew the book existed. Considering the fact most ghost stories claim of seeing a transparent (which is a synonym for lucid - look in the dictionary) ghost, and putting two and two together it's not unreasonable to assume we may enter a lucid dream after we die.

What do we do in the afterlife? I'd think anything we want. You have no sense of time when dreaming, so getting bored probably isn't an option. I'd think you eventually feel a pull to reincarnate, but only at your own leisure.
