Your perceptions about your life when dead will most likely differ when dead from when you were alive.

What this life was falls away and is replaced by the "soul perspective" (the "seeing the big picture" kind of view) - the part of yourself that seeks to evolve through all these lifetimes. This part of yourself has its own priorities, purposes and intentions, and the life you led might be in accordance with them or not.
