can a projector openly communicate with someone who is still awake or totally conscious? According to Robert Monroe... yes and no. He reports projections where he did encounter and communicate with people who were awake in the physical world, and got a response, even though the physical person gave no indication of being aware of his presence. What seemed to be happening was that he was communicating with their subconscious, while their conscious mind had no awareness of it (thus the person wouldn't remember it later). IIRC when he would ask time-related questions, he would get a confused response, which would make sense as the subconscious doesn't process linear time. Its been a while since I read those books though, so I don't actually remember whether the idea about the subconscious was Monroe's explanation or my own conclusion based on what he reported, lol... so take that for what it's worth.

I'm pretty sure that's the only place I've seen that one answered; maybe one of our regular projectors here has some personal experience to share.
