Hello,

Try to transfer your consciousness into the etheric body. Sometimes it will work. What happens then is that you can, kind of, lift part of your etheric body out of, but, still attached to your physical body. You can even experiance the consciousness of your physical and etheric bodies at the same time. (This is also true of your astral body(ies), i.e. multiple consciousnesses)

Your etheric body can see and hear all around at once and you may even get a glance of your physical body sleeping.
Sometimes I can't project, but my etheric body becomes active. When this happens, I just enjoy knowing that my etheric body can see (spherically) and experiment with the things my etheric body can do.
