I had a dream last night and in the dream, I OBE'd. I dont know if I did it for real or not, but in the dream I was at my old house and I decided to sleep in my old bunk bed. I woke up inside of the dream with really intense vibrations, but in the dream for some reason I wanted to get rid of them, so I tried to get out of bed. I felt like I couldn't move. I waited a second and tried again. I rolled right out of my bed onto the floor. For a split second I could see really clearly like everything was lit up. Then all of the sudden I started to hear extremely loud screaming noises and like a cloud of darkness covered up most of my line of sight. I could only see a small circle of vision. Like tunnel vision. Then I heard like really loud rushing noises or something and I saw like a dark figure in robes with a hood hovering over me. I looked at him and saw just rotten teeth and then I decided I needed to wake up from both dreams so I did. I woke up with a jolt and I was so afraid i immediately turned on the lights. What was all that about? I didn't try OBEing before I fell asleep. Hey, Jared.

I had the hooded figure experience during a conscious projection a couple of years ago. He (?) didn't show any of his face and I haven't seen him since that experience. Initially, I found him quite frightening but I think that was largely because I was having a terrible time getting out (I kept recycling back into body) and I associated my difficulty with the presence of this figure.

In retrospect, it occurred to me I had been sick and also taken decongestant medicine and that probably had more to do with my problems getting free than the figure. The more I thought about it, the more I felt he was just observing.

It was a significant experience because it did teach me a lot about fear and help me move beyond that.
