If your pets Astrally Project with you, are you able to communicate and better understand your pets? Yes I think you can, but I also believe that if you learn how to commnicate in their way (using telepathy and empathy) you can do it in waking life, also, you should be able to communicate them while you're in the astral and they're awake;

I've read that most animals, especially cats, are very sensitive to energies, and someone mentioned eralier in the thread that her / his cat hunts down astral bugs, so this suggests that animals have strong astral sight, thus you would be able to interact with them in the RTZ or such.

When my dog died, my friend brought her puppy over so I could take care of the puppy for a couple of weeks, keeping my mind off the loss of my dog. One day, perhaps three or four days after the death of my dog, I suddenly felt his presence in the room (I can't explain how), and the puppy I had in my lap went insane, barking and barking at a specific spot in the room, seemingly at just some air, and you could tell she was so spooked and terrified of what she (the puppy) saw/felt/heard/smelled. I closed my eyes, and said inside myself and to the presence I felt in the room, no matter how hard it was I did it I went: "I know, you've come to say good bye. You must move on now. I am very sad that you have to, and I'm hurting, but please understand, you can not stay here". After a couple of seconds, the presence disappeared and the puppy stopped barking and acted like nothing had happened.

I am sure that was the spirit of my dead dog visting, and I am sure the puppy saw him, and thus I am very sure that animals can see / sense non-physical energy and lifeforms.

ps. Cat-people: Have you ever wondered what cats do when they sorta meditate? When they lie down in Sphynx pose and just sit there, concentrating quietly for perhaps fifteen-twenty minutes? I think they project or do some other cat-magic. And did you know that cats sleep about 18 hours of the 24 hour cycle? Gee, I wonder why...
