I've seen a wide variety of "astral wildlife", if that's what you want to call them. I'm not sure what they really are, though. They're like "wildlife" that exist here. It's a useful analogy, I can see that. In fact, "wildlife" itself is quite revealing of our perception/way of categorizing. So, what's "wild" and what's, oh, I don't know, the opposite of "wildlife"? "Civilized"? How about "domesticated"? I think "domesticated life" will do for now. Wildlife and domesticated life...
OK, so anyway, "astral wildlife", being animal/creature-like entities/beings that live on some "astral plane. First of all, what's the difference between the "astral" and the "physical". They're both planes/places of experience. They're both remembered or forgotten. So maybe one uses more "brainwaves" than the other. Oh well, right? We still see/hear similar things in both the astral and the physical that we can still express with our native languages. That must mean something, but anyway, astral wildlife, right.
It all really depends on your perception of this phenomena. I've seen cockroaches, spiders, snakes, bears, fish, pigs, canines and felines of all sorts, beetles, centipedes, gorgons, deranged mutant freaky things, lizards, crocodiles, primates of all sorts, dolphins, whales, sharks, sea monsters and serpents, dragons, lions, elephants, frogs... a lot. The species I've seen the most of would be the spiders, but that's just me. I have an intuitive understanding that the "astral" is influenced by my perception, or lack of perception, it all depends on my understanding of myself. Me typing on this forum is like "fun" for me, because it's like me expressing me. I could choose to acquire various conventions used throughout this kind of literature from past authors on this subject, or I can develop my own, but developing my own would be more difficult to accomplish due to the amount of creativity and logic allocated to working out my own "system" of describing/analyzing/categorizing/perceiving my "astral" experience, and on a wider scale, my "physical" experience as well, and even wider, experience itself, but the task of working out my own would also be more satisfying for me as well.
