I was drawn to your post because I've had UFO dreams two nights running. In the first dream the sight of a UFO led to fleeting lucidity. On the second night I did a reality check where I closed my eyes reasoning that a dream body has no eyelids and therefore I should continue to see the scene. Nonetheless, everything went black and I didn't have the usual sense of lying in trance in my bed so I "opened" my "eyes" and allowed the dream to resume.

Ultimately, I was spared abduction because a fleet of flying craft came and pursued the UFO that had been hovering close and threateningly. These government craft were exceptionally vivid and futuristic.
