Feel free to ignore my senseless thinking.
Some people (me included) understand the universe as a tree, well at least the part that can be understood with human senses and minds. Not just that but hundreds of more things. how the tree would function beyond the existence of 'things' I dont know. Going to other places through the tree makes sense to me because the tree contains the universe. Appearantly the tree you came in contact with stretches beyond the universe that can be known using the human mind, thats what the symbols are about, things beyond what can be thought of using the usual human way of thinking ("beyond the astral" ). Beyond taste, touch, sight, smell, and some other senses. I think symbols are attempts at communicating things from beyond the edge of the universe where nothing exists as objects.
