Why don't you go to the astral plane?

IIRC Robert described that trying to stay in the RTZ for a longer time requires a lot of energy - it is very draining. On the other hand, Robert Monroe's adventures in the astral and mental planes continued for hours.

Is there a reason why you want to stay in the RTZ?
