Yes, i agree. i have repeated the meditation since last post. This time the noise remained in my head. I have noted the more focused upon the noise; the deeper the meditation. i believe i understand the basics of the hypnogogic (but can i spell it ha) and believe i was in that state when fully focused on the noise.
Ive been experimenting with the hypnogogic (just to make sure ive got it right cos im not sure - im talking about the state just before sleep when we get flashes and imagery. If woken we remember something has been seen but not necessarily what it was). i believe it is possible with practice to move the waking consciousness into this area of the mind and observe the flashes and imagery from an "objective" point of view in that "you know its not you" because what is seen looks and feels as if generated somewhere else. i have had a little success with this; but require more to be certain. Success with viewing imagery (all be it a moment only). i also believe the hypnogogic state could be used as a platform from which a journey might be possible. But this only when the waking consciousness has been trained to enter this area of the mind easily.
My reasoning for this theory of a platform in the hypnogogic comes from my experience as a medium. In meditation (the focus being a better link with the spirit world) i would at times loose focus and begin to drift in and out of the hypnogogic. My spirit guide would show me images as powerful flashes (obviously so i would remember them when fully awake) and they would mean something to me.

My theory is that it might be possible to step through the same door that the spirit guide steps through to show a medium images.

Your thoughts on my comments would be most welcome - thankyou for your time.
