I sometimes want to go somewhere and also ask for help getting there, but I have never been teleported there.

One thing that used to work for me a lot when I had more lucid dreams was just saying, "TAKE ME TO (location)!" Somehow, framing the request in the IMPERATIVE always seemed to make my dreaming mind respond better to than merely asking it for help in getting to the location.

Interesting discussion here, too -- where is it we are while in a dream that looks a lot like the physical world, but some things are out of place?!
