It was almost like an invisible piece of plate glass covering my legs at mid thigh up to my lower abdomen, and extending out from my body by about maybe 6-8 inches. I couldn't see it, only feel it.

So yes it was connected

I attached a picture of what it felt like and approximately how big it was
