I'm not much of an expert, but I seem to have the same problem at times and also have a problem with my mouth drying out and breaking my concentration. I find the easiest way to deal with it is to make sure you are breathing in from your nose and out of your mouth, as your breathin slows down it seems to be less and less of a problem. As for having to swallow due to saliva build up, does this happen early in your meditation or in the later stages? For me its usually an issue early on and as I get more relaxed and start shifting my focus to other parts of my body I don't really think about it. You might be giving it to much atention, but as you get deeper into meditation the need to swallow should fade away. But I will be watching to see if anyone else has a better method other than just controling breathing and trying not to think about it
