I had my first spontaneous OBE about 6 months ago, and then a "swarm" of them over the xmas new year period, then they started happening less and less, and each time I would have less energy than the time before - to the point where I would exit, then float to the 'floor' like a feather, and not be able to move I was so weak.

Then nothing at all for the last 6 weeks or so.

A few things:
First, are you doing energy work? If not, they may help make your projections a bit more 'regular' if not 'predictable.' You'll still have widely varying experiences, but it may help.
One thing that happens when you start practicing a routine is that at some point your energy body needs to 'readjust' and you have 'dry spells'. I get them about twice a year, but it's more common in the beginning. I think after that initial 'big readjustment' you fall into some sort of pattern that is all yours (and cluster OBEs may be part of yours) which includes dry spells, and occasionally, a more 'collective readjustment event' happens, as AC has verified in my case, in which you find a large number of people finding themselves manifesting different things. For example, I was grounded for a number of months, but was having the weirdest dreams. When I verified that others were having similar problems, and identified elements in everybody's experiences, a pattern that was bigger than my own individual growth pattern arose.
So you may be going through any of the above.

Then last night, multiple! But all very confusing, mixed up with dreaming, and all with very intense exit sensations. The intensity of the exit sensations is indicative of a prior dry spell. At least it is that way with me.

(Previously i haven't really had any strange exit sensations at all - kind of a gentle shimmering feeling, then out. Only once I seemed to get 'stuck' at my third eye, and my energy body spun round and round, and once I had strong vibrations, that I confused with my cellphone being on 'vibrate' and next to my head - so I was trying to answer it and couldn't find it, all very confusing! Also haven't had the 'noises' or voices that people talk about.) This shows energy issues, and lucidity issues too.

Anyway - last night. ALL DIFFERENT! First I floated out quite gently, the usual shimmering thing, but for the first time ever I couldn't see. Usually I can see quite well, but this time everything was black, and I could only feel the sensation of rising up.

I tried to open my "eyes", but found that I opened my physical eyes instead, and shot back into my body. Quite normal and happens to everyone.
Next i floated up again, and deliberately went quite a bit further, then turned around to look back at my bed, and then tried to open my eyes. It worked, but my bed was all different, boyfriend wasn't in it, and neither was I. It was immaculately made, with big fluffy pillows, and what looked like a turtle sitting on one of the pillows. When I went closer the turtle turned out to be a little fox or dog, kinda cartoonish, at which point I figured I must have fallen asleep and started dreaming. My opinion is that you didn't get far enough, and created the rest of the situation with your own energy body- the 'dweller' explanation.
I think I got a bit scared then, because I realised I hadn't asked for any protection or anything this time - i'd just forgotten about it - so I started trying to recite The Lord's Prayer. DON'T KNOW WHY I PICKED THAT!!! I'm not a christian, and never have been, but it was just the first thing that popped into my head.

Then things started getting weird. I got 'voices' for the first time ever - specifically, I heard the voice of a woman that I know quite well, reciting the Lord's Prayer along with me, but she kept changing all the words, which was really pissing me off.

Finally i opened my (I thought) real eyes - I was lying in my bed, and she was standing there in the dark in my room! I was sure I was awake again now, and so I said "Is that you Miranda?" and she said "yes". I told her to go home, she shouldn't be in my room at night. She hesitated for a moment, then said "my mother wants to talk to you too" and walked out through the wall. It's possible that she was there in an unconscious projection, but I do tend to think that you created her as 'dweller' as I said before. You could tell her that you had the weirdest dream about her (and work the prayer into it) if you are comfortable with mentioning it. It's possible that your projection was unconscious enough that you actually projected to her and picked up something from her dreaming mind. But I tend to think that it was your dreaming mind that created it.

Then I started to get REALLY intense pressure in my nose (at the top, the bridge). I thought it was going to explode. I've searched the forum this morning, and see a few other people have experienced this. Some people think it's 3rd eye related?? It was really, really full-on, and this morning I got up and looked in the mirror expecting to see burst blood vessels or something. (But no, my nose looks fine..) Maybe- could be. Not sure.
Then I was off into dream land.

I don't know if all of this was just an intense dream (i felt awake for most of it), or a mixture of OBE and dreaming, or what. I certainly don't know if Miranda was really in my room, or not! I think I would be too embarrassed to ask her, because she isn't a close friend, more of a colleague. I tend to think it was an OBE that turned into a dream.
