Had something quite similar last year.

I woke in the middle of the night to "feel" a presence in the room. Like an energy ray scanning, don't ask me why I thought that. The presence moved straight through the room, and I hoped it would ignore me, but it stopped over, me heart started racing, I felt an energy surge, I was frightened.

Suddenly I realised I had heard, while the presence came closer, the alarm clock on the window sill tick louder and louder. I had actually had a mind split and heard with my energetic body, which moved home. That came as such a relief!

So it seems to happen sometimes that we perceive the reentry from "the other side" and this can be quite confusing and somewhat frightening, too, I'd say.
