I don't know what to say about the dragonfly, other than to suggest that you experiment with shielding that will make you more or less invisible (bending perception, mirrored, that sort of thing) to anything that wants anything for you other than your highest good. (I have a medicine pouch that was made for me with that specific intent/charm.)

That being said, I frequently have astral awareness (clairsentience, mostly, but also clairaudience on a regular basis and clairvoyance on an infrequent one) when I'm totally awake and doing stuff. I can be anywhere, doing anything, when it happens. Visions and so forth are always stronger when I'm in some sort of altered state, but, yeah, I get the "transmissions" pretty much whenever and wherever. It can be a bit disconcerting... I think I can mostly turn it off, but lately I haven't wanted to and it's been... interesting.

Think of it like having multiple windows open on your computer. You may be focussed on one, but if another is open, you could get information from that one, too, especially if it's something with communication (I always think of it like an open messenging program that pops up when there's some sort of message and is otherwise just quietly running in the background. Yes, I am a geek. )

Oh, I just thought of this, relating back to the dragonfly/helicopter. I have a friend who had someone set up an astral drone of some sort (some kind of thought form) that basically watched her and took note of all the psychic exchanges she had with other people, and then the other people would get mysteriously attacked, psychically. When it happened to me, it was actually astrally and when I was asleep and not lucid. I only knew about it because of the way I felt the next day (basically, like I'd been hit by a truck), which made me try to find out what it was. Point being, yes, I believe there are things that can spy on you or monitor for certain things or otherwise keep an eye on you in ways you don't want.
