I know what he did was crazy/wrong, and I have to draw boundaries and put my foot down, but I am rationalizing by telling myself no one got hurt. It's really hard, I still have this image of him as a little boy and I want to protect him. I am having to wrestle against the nurturing instinct.

Plus, I have a past life connection to this kid and I knew it the second I clapped eyes on him years ago. Something else is going on in the background here I can't quite figure out.

Here is how I finally got him to calm down and turn himself in: I gave him a reading and told him things would work out okay for him. (This kid trusts me; I read for his mother.) It's a little off topic, but I am reminded how powerful readings are in that they give people the calm and resolve to face their futures without fear.

I mean, I literally negotiated myself out of a hostage situation with a card reading.
