I couldn't really tell you what the BEST way to project is, since everyone's energetic makeup is different and different techniques work for different people.

Technology-wise, I have heard that the Monroe Astral Projection CD Series is very helpful. But I don't have this myself, as it is more than a hundred dollars!

If you are on MAP, then you probably know some of the common techniques. The rope technique works best for most people, but you may have to do it for fifteen minutes or more to get it to work. Also, I like to feel that I am going down an elevator. Recreate the dropping sensation you feel when doing this. It is really relaxing and helps me get into a trance state much easier.
