well i think ive tried every technique ive read about, the rope (not too much i didnt like it for some reason) and the staring at something one, visualising a pyramid or some other rotating thingamajig, just clearing my mind and watching and waiting, but most of the time i get so tired and i roll over and fall asleep :X
usually what i feel is this:
i sit there and let my heart slow down, calming myself as i lay there. my favorite position is on my right side, left arm curled under myself with right arm under my pillow. i feel myself calming and relaxing, my body starting to fall asleep. i stay alert, and then it feels like a blanket is on me or tingling. this is usually where the vibrations come in, and it shakes me making me fidget. occasionally i feel the tilting sensation, and i jolt
