I find I'm getting "blackouts" akin to astral blindness in my dreams every so often. I can't help but wonder if it's a lucidity cue because it often leaves me on the edge of lucidity. I'll just be going through my dream motions and suddenly I'm in the dark and trying to rationalise it in the dream. I can often get the picture back in the dream as I can in a lucid dream.
