As you know I bilocate often and I think this is the cause for much of my blindness- since I'm not completely 'body asleep' the darkness of my eyelids gets combined with the view, and it takes some energy to 'see' at the same time. Sometimes it 'clears up', I suspect this is my vision 'tuning into' the astral, but sometimes I just give up and use 'tactile echolocation' to go through 'space', and eventually my p.o.v. resolves to the out of body state.
I think the more lucid your dream the more chances are of this happening, possibly for the same reason. The 'dream pool' loses it's focus and you find yourself 'in between' pools. I suggest just flying away and having a classic OBE.
