Hmm... chills are normally accompanied by shivers - maybe you're having the exit-vibrations & associating it with being cold?

Another possibility, if you're not feeling extremities, maybe your mind is associating numbness with cold?

Temp normally drops after sleep comes - it's also associated with time of night - it's hard to stay warm around 2 in the AM. If you have a partner, ask them to check you after 20 mins & see if you feel cold - it may be just a mental impression rather than an actual temperature drop.
