I was doing some energy work before I went to bed, and still had fairly high energy levels when I turned off the light. Twice, as I was relaxing into sleep, I heard odd noises. I can't even describe them, they were just strange, stuff I knew couldn't possibly be real (think city traffic in the middle of the countryside, that sort of "can't be real", though I can't recall precisely what I heard, only that I knew it was completely out of place). Both times it brought me to the surface against my will, though I wasn't freaked out or anything, just somewhat roused. I didn't notice any particular vibration that I recall. I've never been one to have hypnogogic auditory sensations, though I often experience hypnogogic images. Does this sound like it might have been astral noise? Or was it just my tired but full-of-energy brain playing games with me?
