Well, it depends on who you ask in.

Ever read the "Monroe affirmation" from Gateway? It is an appeal to any being that is wiser and more developed than him to help him. Well, he found his INSPEC.

I have in the last time read about the importance of inviting the "right crowd" in - from a friend who met her guides, on a blog, everywhere. It is in fact your choice.

Inviting those guides who want to develop your inner love and faith and evolve as a being is a very limited request, IMO. Lately I did exactly this in contemplative prayer, and I'm getting further advice by the truck load - intuitions, small inspirations, messages hidden in every day things I do.
