If I may jump in - this is so interesting to me, because for years I've had the experience of having a "lense" open up against a black backdrop, & I watch as an extreme;y detailed, clear & vibrant scene unfolds - usually nothing very strange, just beautiful scenery, flowers, grass & sand, recently a more odd sort of view of geometric shapes seen 'from the inside looking out" & once a view from the inside looking out of a tomb . . . I always enjoy them but think of them as illusions. I can't really say that I've ever seen them again in "real life:, though.
