Vision/sight question
Moved from Robert Bruce forum:
G'day Robert,
Whether my eyes are open or closed, whether it is light or intense dark around me, I see everything as through millions of tiny sparks, that appear & vanish instantly. It is impossible to focus on them & they are not the normal after images people see.
I have spoken to optometrists/opticians about them 7 they have no idea what I am talking about. I was very short sighted before having lasik laser surgery & had put them down to an artefact of my vision problems but I now have 20-20 vision & still have the sparks.
The best description I can give is it is as though I am seeing atoms. They glow of their own, they are all across my field of vision & they seem constantly in motion although due to the disappearing that is hard to be sure of. The only difference having my eyes open & being in the light makes is it is a distraction but at any moment I can switch my attention & see the particles again.
There is an underlying feeling that I should be able to use these somehow and I have no idea where it comes from. I have asked many people if they see similar things but no matter how I describe them they say no.
I also have problems 'picturing' things in my mind - when asked to visualise (say) an orange, I can 'feel' that I am doing it but it's as if it's behind a dark curtain - I know there is a picture of the orange there but I can't see it - not sure if these two things are related at all.
Any ideas what the sparks are & how I can learn to use them if that is possible?
Namaste
Mark
