And then, just like that, once I realized I was out of my body, I returned to it and once again had a first person view. I had to sit down for a few minutes after that because I was at a loss for words, still am actually. How could I have an out of body experience even when my body is moving around like normal? Has this happened to anybody else?
It hasn't happened to me, but I recall reading that people who do repetitive tasks can have waking APs. The example I remember the most is of women several generations ago, who would AP while churning butter--a repetitive, boring task if ever there was one. I haven't had a "waking" AP experience such as you describe, but I tend to think that it is quite possible. I can't guess whether your particular experience was a genuine AP or a vivid dream, but I wouldn't discount the possibility entirely.

3)Final question is are OBEs just that, leaving your body or is it completely internal and produced simply in your mind? I'd like to believe that we can and do leave our bodies however lots of people doubt it and say it's been disproved.
I've read a lot of OPINIONS saying it has been disproved, but I've never seen such proof. And, since I reckon my opinion is as good as anyone else's, I would have to say it is a real, genuine experience-not just in our minds. There are numerous accounts of people having APs and being able to later discuss details of where they visited, only to have it proven true. Of course, the possibility exists that they had some sort of psychic experience that gave them the knowledge, rather than an actual AP.
