Prescription Drugs and their effect on OBE
I have a question for the group. First, a little background:
I have had two successful obe's in the past week. One was spontaneous, the other was a successful attempt.
I have been taking Paxil on a daily basis for the past couple of years (for those who don't know, Paxil is used to treat anxiety/panic disorders). I ran out of my medication last week and my MD was out of town. I felt OK, so I just waited for her to come back to get a new Rx.
I am wondering if, perhaps, my success with obe lately is related to my not taking the drug.
Personally, I hope it is not, because the Paxil really has helped and I am afraid to stop taking it altogether. I did get my Rx refilled today, so it will be interesting to see if there is any change in my newfound ability to obe successfully.
I'm curious to know if anyone has any experience with this, and what their thoughts/views are. I'd hate to think that I have to choose between my meds and obe, because as much as I want to obe, I have to take the meds.
Also, another recent change has been to my diet and exercise program; specifically, I'm sticking to my new year's resolution to lose weight/get fit and have lost 37 pounds and have built a good bit of muscle with my workouts. I'm wondering if that could also be a factor in my recent success. If that's the case, that's even more motivation to continue with my new, healthier lifestyle!
