I agree with what MalevolenT said about relaxing. When I have a dry spell, I usually don't project until I relax about it.
What should I do? Practice raising energy with NEW? Yes. IMO, energy is key in terms of lucidity and the time a projection lasts. change my technique? If by that you mean exit technique, I can't speak for you, but I change mine all the time, because they're all different, and what works for me one day may not the next.

I still feel like I'm missing something EASY with this continual falling feeling I get often.... I would say that the falling feeling may be a signpost that your brain is more apt to project than on a day that you don't, but that's just a guess based on my own experience with a certain 'swimmy' feeling I get when I'm going have a projection, before I actually go to sleep.
