Thank you! =) "Spirits" was the first thing that occurred to me, but I didn't want to simply go by my first assumptions, being mostly ignorant and all. Could you help me with another experience? It's a little similar, and yet very different:

Today I was sitting on the armrest of the couch. I was getting a little tired, but I didn't feel like getting up... so I fell back onto the couch. Next thing I saw was about a dozen lights darting in all directions through the air.

It was the wildest thing I've ever seen. They were moving very fast and they appeared to me as streaks of intense white light with bluish edges, about half an inch wide and a couple of inches long, maybe even larger. This lasted for a few seconds and as soon as it was over I began trying to figure out any possible causes for such a spectacle. I found no plausible explanation, but it's just too hard to believe that I actually saw something. A couple of times I've seen individual blue streaks before, but never like these. These were too bright, too clear, too big, too close and too many (which is why I freaked out a bit. In addition to that, I'm not clarivoyant.) ... Should I get my eyes checked? Did I eat something I shouldn't have?
I would really appreciate any answers, thoughts, or comments on the subject. =) It is difficult to say what they are but we can offer suggestions as to what they sound like or what we think that the orbs might be . Since you were tired you might have entered an altered state of consciousness such as a light trance .

In an altered state ,we can have clairvoyance that we may not be experiencing in real time during a waking state of alertness . Streaks and orbs can be visual disturbances and if you think there is a mdeicual concern please check it out but tiny white stars are generally reported as visual disturbance and not large coloured ie blue orbs .

Are these spirits as well? If they are, then what were they doing in my living room? There are more spirit on earth than live humans . Every human is surrounded by spirit . Each home is full . The difference is that we are generally insensitive to them and must tune in and switch on , enter a trance or as you do to sense them . There are rare individuals who walk around in open eyed clairvoyance taking in all that they see but even the one mate I know capbale of this , cannot see them all . When I tune in I find those that escaped his attention from time to time . Similarly we have different vibrations so we may be able to sense some spirit in a room that another does not and vice versa .

Mates & Rellies
People who used to work & live in the building may visit . Relatives and friends visit often. Relatives even those who died before you were born show up while you sleep to communicate with you in dreamstate because we are all connected and they are continued in their consciousness in your life living vicariously through you .

Guides
Sometimes the ones who visit us are guides who part of our monad or group soul . These come to remind us of our agreed path , check our progress and offer guidance .

Aspects of Self
The Lower Self , Higher Self , the Guardian Angel , and The Watcher etcetera may become apparent especially at times of duress or landmark events ie births , weddings , or deaths .

Mahatma & Archangels
"When the student is ready the teacher will appear "Whenever a human reaches the vibration that attunes them to see the Mahatma , they appear to them . Evocation is not necessary . They come to all humans stirring their awareness and lifting their vibrations until they wake up . A good time to tune in is at 730 pm .
