Before I tell this story I must tell of my first conscious memory because I believe that it defines who I am today. I remember sitting in the high chair and being fed baby food that gave me heartburn. I remember what it felt like looking through the eyes of this infant body and the frustration of not being able to convey that I was aware.

My first experience with the OBE happened when I was 6 (35 years ago). I had just gotten into bed. My Grandmother told me goodnight and walked out of the room. Suddenly I heard male and female voices chanting in a foreign language. I then began to feel as though I was rapidly shrinking and above me I saw four robed figures who were chanting. I shot up and out and I began to follow my grandmother down the hallway. I had the perspective of being a very small ball of incredibly luminous energy as I floated down the hall.

That experience was like a door opening for me. It was immediately after that my ability to lucid dreaming began with a voice in my dreams that taught me how to control my dreambody and every other aspect of the dream. My life reads like a fantasy novel, but I consider myself very fortunate to have had the experiences that so many others wish for. The problem has always been finding someone else with similar experiences who can relate.
