I had a similar problem when I started, and Brian told me to do the exercises with my eyes open- I did, and after a few sessions was able to break my eyes of that habit. Focus your eyes on something, keep them there, and proceed with your exercises. It seems weird, but it works, and it's easier than it sounds.
