Default first OOBE this morning... more or less!
First, a very brief history. I've been working with NEW and conscious OOBE attempts for maybe 4 weeks now. A couple of weeks ago I experienced heavy vibrations, buzzing, and loud crazy noises, but no [recalled] OOBE and haven't recreated that since.

So this morning I was lying on my right side when I awoke and looked at the ceiling, then rolled my eyes to in front of me. That struck me as odd since my real eyes wouldn't have been able to see the ceiling. Astral sight! I think that left once I realized it but didn't even notice because I was now noticing that I was in a state of waking paralysis - a state I've never observed before. At least not calmly. Since I couldn't move I figured I'd try to "get up". So I was able to successfully roll out of bed.

I'll spare you the mundane details, but the OOBE lasted maybe 30 seconds or so (that short on purpose) and I felt very lethargic. Vision was dark (it was still fairly dark in my physical room) and somewhat blurry. I tried to go back to the body and then essentially had a false awaking, which I soon realized, then tried to go back to the body again. I don't specifically remember the re-entry, but somehow I managed.

So I have a couple of questions about the validity of this OOBE. 1) there were no exit sensations as I had previously experienced. Is this because I was already in the paralysis state? And 2) It essentially felt like a very sluggish lucid dream except that I started from waking consciousness and experienced what I perceived to be reality.

"Real" OOBE or not, I'll take it!

I'm kind of addicted to this forum lately - glad I now have something of interest to contribute! I'll post a proper introduction in the New Member forum soon.
