Thanks for the info.
I'm attempting to practice how to do this more easily, and hopefully I will be able to write an article up about it once I figure out the mechanics behind it.

However for now this is something that I found interesting:
---
If you sit in a dark room and use a camera flash to light up the room for a split second, shutting your eyes at the right moment will allow you to see the entire room with your eyes closed - which is a pretty awesome feeling.

If it doesn't work at first, sometimes it helps to use a semi-dark room and sit close to a particular object. Focusing on the object for 20-30 seconds, then repeating as above generates the same effect. However only parts of it might be visible, but repeating the experiment increases how much is visible.

This technique stemmed from an exercise developed to increase the ability to see auras, where one had to focus on a candle flame, then closing eyes and attempting to retain the after image in the minds eye for as long as possible.

I think it might be possible to activate "natural" astral sight with these techniques but I haven't met other people who have had similar experiences after experimenting with such yet. I still sometimes get the impression that it is an after-image effect and nothing more, however Robert Bruce stated in his Aura sight article that it this kind of vision often appears as just an after-image but is actually the activation of aura/astral sight.

I've found that by closing my eyes in any area now I automatically recall the last scene that I saw in front of me for 10-15 seconds. Last week I was using Hemi-Sync and was almost sure that I could barely see my ceiling with my eyes shut, but I can't say for certain because I don't remember how tight my eyes were shut - especially since Hemi-Sync puts you in trance making details harder to remember.
