I've been starting to experience this in little glimpses and flashes lately during meditation...

When I close my eyes a lot during energy work, this green/purple patch will show up in the blackness. So the other day during meditation I was staring at that patch, and it vanished like my visual eyesight disengaged, like when you stare at your hand in the dark and your hand "disappears." At that same moment of disengagement, I felt that telltale "open eyes" feeling and felt a sort of "veil lifting" sensation as if my right eye were opening, and I glimpsed the gray carpet of the room I was in at the time. It was so vivid that for a second I thought that my eye had slipped open. The sensation was accompanied by something auditory, like a humming or buzzing. Good stuff! If anyone has more tips about enhancing this, I'd love to hear them.
