I've only gotton into trance the first time I tried OBE. Now I cant get into a trance for anything! Ive laid in my bed for over 30 mins at a time and IF I do get into trance it lasts about 3 secs. then Im back.

How do YOU get into trance? Just relaxing your mind and wait for it to come? Do you use a unique method?

Thanks
Just relaxing the mind won't get you into trance. You might near sleep, occasionally remaining aware enough to experience trance, but this can be pretty hit and miss.
When I first set out to produce trance I turned to hypnosis, and this helped a lot. I now have a system of counting to 10, each step consisting of actions which produce a deeper level of trance.
At 10, I'm in a light/medium trance, and from there I can use other techniques to deepen it.
Counting to ten is a trigger for a learnt response developed over years of enforcement (it's based upon Monroe’s induction to F10).

Having a regular meditation practice can help develop trance too. With good meditation, you notice yourself entering quite a deep trance level (to the extent of not being aware of your body any more). But I would advise against mixing meditation techniques and trance/obe techniques. This is because OBE techniques more often than not lead to sleep. This is then associated with the techniques used, so next time you meditate, you feel yourself feeling more drowsy than normal.
