I checked the list for indigo children too. My eldest, born 1994,came into the world just looking around rather than crying, said his first words at 6 months and has always had a few grey hairs (even though people grey very late in my family, at least).
He is considered gifted and talented across the board. He has won art competitions, plays piano beautifully, achieves extremely well in sport (often more through exceptional will than physical giftedness) and is always placed at the very high tip of percentile bands on state or national quizzes. I'm a high school teacher and know he'd fit very comfortably into much older groups and this is a sentiment expressed by all his teachers.
As a toddler, he had an imaginary friend: Emily. She was a pink cat or a pink dragon (she changed form) who lived in the wall. Sometimes he would mention things Emily told him that seemed a bit extraordinary, like mentioning she used to catch the train and stating specific suburbs that she visited. It is highly unlikely he would have heard these suburbs mentioned anywhere. Around 4 he insisted I make him a dragon dress up costume (but not pink
)
When he was nearly 4 he started a conversation with a total stranger in a shop, addressing him by his Christian name. The man asked me how my son knew his name. I asked my son who just shrugged and said he didn't know.
He is an extremely sensitive and deep child. He can also be very calculating.
Where he differs to the indigo description (much like me) is in not being rebellious (though some old school friends reckon I was and I guess a subversive sense of humour does characterise our family. Come to think of it, my father fits the indigo description to a tee). In fact, I've always found him a very easy child to be around - responsible and easy going with a great sense of humour. Loving.
He hasn't shown any great psychic ability other than the things mentioned and frequent deja vu. He enjoys his dream lfe. He did suffer night terrors briefly after a sleepover where he watched "Hellboy." (He's very impressionable.) He claimed the invisible people were trying to enter him through his ear.
So, what do you think? Me, I'm not convinced about the whole indigo thing. Maybe I'm just posting because I just can't resist bragging.
