Chris you wrote that you were intersted in a scary sort of way and that's the same for me, like if I saw a ghost or sumthin scary I would like to see it first before running haha.
I guess I refuse to be dictated to by fear. If something scares me, I’ll face that fear until familiarity dissipates it. This can take time - for example I have a severe (near hysteric) dislike for public speaking (presentations in front of large crowds), I know exactly where this fear arose – an event when I was 14 – put other factors were involved too. Before this time I used to act in plays, I belonged to drama groups etc - so the fear didn't exist then. So now I’m putting myself in situations where I am forced to speak in such a way – hopefully joining toastmasters (presentation society) in the New Year. Repeated exposure to anything reduces it’s fear over time, or I should say repeated exposure "with awareness".
