Ok, thanks. Just, is the hypnogogic imagery a part during the trance in which you feel like you're asleep, or like you fall asleep for very little time and you can really FEEL and SEE things, and then get the concious again?
That sounds like it . It's a borderline sleep state where we start to see dream imagery. It's in this state that we sometimes hear things too, for example hearing a word, or our name called which seems like it came from reality.
At first you'll notice that you "click out" in this state a lot, this means you become unaware of your intentions, and generally get drawn into the imagery (And to sleep). Suddenly you might realise what is going on and break out of the imagery to a more awake state.
The trick is to be aware, and watch the scenarios without getting drawn into them - also try not to get excited as this can break the state too.
As you go deeper you'll either lose bodily awarness, experience very strange bodily sensations, or the imagery will take on a 3D quality. THese are all good signs of a deep trance.
