I'm at my girlfriends house at the moment, else I would write some of the material from my OBE journals. In short, it is possible to be even more aware then when awake during projection. Some of my favorite projections have been where my awarness blazed. I was so aware, and conscious, that it was staggering. Waking day lucidity isn't even close to how lucid I have been during some of my projection experiences.
I've also had a lots of projections where my consciousness was either dim, or I didn't seem to have full analytical thought.
