Zealand girl who was an award nominee, for \"Whale Rider?\" (Her first movie role, BTW)

She was interviewed by

a reporter, at the Academy Awards. After the interview, the reporter asked whether there was anyone whom she

especially wanted to meet. She said that she was a big fan of Johnny Depp, and had always wanted to meet him. So,

the reporter took her over to Depp, and introduced.

Apparently, Depp stood, shook her hand, and told her that HE

had been hoping to meet HER, because he so admired her work in \"Whale Rider.\"

The child said he made her

WHOLE evening, with that compliment. She was so pleased that she could hardly follow the awards.

It\'s about

being gracious.
