i'm not going back to israel. the country gives me the creeps. there's people with guns everywhere, the continuous negotiation for everything is tiresome, and everybody's so bloody paranoid.
No different then other places in that part of the world. Our company had a conference in Cairo a few years back. One of the events was eating dinner on the Nile on small boats. The buses we road to the staging area all had armed security people on them. When we arrived the shore was lined with soldiers all armed with automatic weapons. Once on the boats, military boats were posted at the perimeter of where our boats were. And gunships were flying overhead. There had been recent incidents and the Government couldn't afford to another embarrassment. It was probably all overdone a bit but it made you feel more secure and I would go back again. Another event was riding camels out to the pyramids and eating nearby. Sometimes it's good to work for an international company.
