If someone could provide me with the answer and ref I would be extremely grateful.
It is mentioned in some books that Sayidina Husain had 3 daughters and in some books, 5.
Also, in some books his son J'afar is separate to the son Abdullah but in some books they've been labelled as the same son.

These differences of opinion exist, in these cases always take the information from the source that adds more children, because it is very likely that some authors might miss some of his children but very unlikely that they'd add extra ones.

(What sources are you using?)
