I don't think Lin, solely as a player, deserves that type of money. But I feel like he's worth a hell of a lot of money to the Knicks in marketing and public support. Just seems mind-boggling that they'd take on Kidd and Felton and let a player with 1 billion fans behind him go.

With that said, I don't think Houston is going to get $25 million worth of play out of him. They'll get the marketing, but I don't think he is their answer. I'd be shocked if he comes anywhere close to Lowry in terms of productivity.
It's not even close between Lin and Kidd. They want players, not novelties. And the Knicks don't worry about the marketing aspect because they're, well, the Knicks. The money is coming in regardless.
