This is what happens when 3 events are crammed together into 3 weeks. In addition to figuring out the logistics of an extended grass court season by 2015, the tours need to figure out how to schedule big events so that they aren't trying to burn the players out. For example, this year what the ATP could have done is push back Toronto, Cincy, and the USO by a week. After all, it's not like there's anything important during September (there's only the Davis Cup SF and a bunch of 250s).
Logical, but U$TA ain't moving the US Open from having the Labor Day weekend right smack dab in the middle of it.
